Introduction

Viking Forge — this is a high-volatility video slot from Pragmatic Play, released on October 30, 2023. The game immerses players in the mythical world of Scandinavian warriors, where instead of traditional paylines, the Scatter Pays system is used, and the maximum win reaches 10,000× the bet.

Expert opinions and recommendations

Viking Forge is ideal for experienced players ready for long sessions without frequent wins, with the possibility of hitting a jackpot up to 10,000x.

Recommendations

• Use the demo mode to study the mechanics of cascades and the frequency of bonus activation.
• When playing for real money, choose a bet no more than 1–2% of your bankroll due to high volatility.
• If the Buy Bonus function is available, consider it only with a sufficient budget — the cost is high, but the chances of a big win increase.

Mathematical model

1. RTP: 96.05% (fixed, not variable).
2. Volatility: high — bigger wins are rare, but can be very significant.
3. Chances of a maximum win: approximately 1 in 4,000,000 spins.
4. Minimum winning combination: 8 identical symbols in any position of the grid.

Compared to analogs

1. Gates of Olympus (Pragmatic Play): similar grid 6×5 and cascades, but multipliers are used there, not coin overlays. RTP — 96.5%, max. win — 5,000x.
2. Sweet Bonanza (Pragmatic Play): also uses Scatter Pays and free spins with multipliers, but the theme is 'fruity' and less 'heavy'. Max. win — 21,100x, but RTP is lower — 96.48%.
3. Forge of Olympus (Relax Gaming): similar Scandinavian/mythological theme, but with a progressive multiplier. RTP — 96.5%, max. win — 5,000x.
