Review of the Thor Infinity Reels slot machine from Yggdrasil

Introduction

Thor Infinity Reels is an engaging video slot from ReelPlay, released in partnership with Yggdrasil Gaming in February 2021. The game is dedicated to the Scandinavian god of thunder and is based on the innovative Infinity Reels mechanic, which allows players to expand their wins infinitely with winning combinations.

Key features of the slot

1. Infinity Reels mechanic (infinite reels).
2. High volatility.
3. Maximum win up to 6055x the bet.
4. RTP - 96.20%.
5. Jackpot respins with the Mjolnir symbols.
6. Infinity Bonus bonus with 12+ additional reels.

Design and atmosphere

The slot is executed in an epic Scandinavian style: dark skies, icy clouds, thunderous lightning, and powerful orchestral music create the atmosphere of a battle of gods. The graphics are high-quality 3D animation, characters are detailed, and the sound accompaniment enhances the drama of each spin. The overall impression is cinematic and immersive.

Characteristics and symbols

Parameter table

Payouts for combinations (5+ symbols)

1. Thor (Wild) — up to 50x bet.
2. Viking helmet — up to 10x.
3. Shield — up to 8x.
4. Battle log — up to 6x.
5. Cards (A, K, Q, J, 10, 9) — up to 2x.

All symbols pay as scatter (scatter), starting with 3+ scattered symbols in any position of the grid.

Bonus functions and unique mechanics

• Infinity Reels: with any winning combination, a new reel is added to the right. If the same symbol appears on it — the reel continues to grow, and the multiplier of the win increases by +1 for each new reel.
• Jackpot respins: if 6 or more Mjölnir symbols appear on the field, Jackpot Respins are activated. Each hammer has its own value (from 1x to 100x, as well as special values). After the respins, the total of all hammers is paid as a single win.
• Infinity Bonus: if the player expands the field to 12 or more reels, he receives a fixed bonus of 888x the bet.

In the slot, there are no free spins in the classical sense — all bonuses revolve around Infinity Reels and Hammer Respins.

Expert opinions and recommendations

Thor Infinity Reels — this is not just a slot, but a real mathematical theater. Its high volatility means that wins are rare, but can be colossal. Ideal for experienced players ready for long sessions without frequent payouts.

Strategies for maximizing winnings

• Играйте с минимальной ставкой в течение 100–200 спинов, чтобы “прогреть” слот.
• Do not interrupt the game after a big win — often a series of cold spins follows.
• The goal is to reach 12+ barrels or collect 6+ mallets for bonus activation.
• Use the automatic mode with a limit on time/game to avoid impulsive decisions.

Mathematical model

1. RTP: 96.20% — above average for the market.
2. Volatility: high — suitable for risky strategies.
3. Hit frequency: ~10–20% (Hit Frequency).

5. Average session duration: 50–150 spins to the specified bonus.

3. Vikings Go Berzerk (Yggdrasil) — Scandinavian theme, but with free spins and collective bonuses.
