Review of the gaming machine Money Cart from Relax Gaming: without the base game, only bonuses

Introduction

Money Cart — this is a unique slot from the studio Relax Gaming, released in July 2021 as part of the popular Money Train series. Unlike classic slot machines, Money Cart completely abandons the base game and immediately immerses the player in an exciting bonus round with the mechanics of 'Hold & Win'.

Key features of Money Cart

1. Absence of the base game — every spin either triggers a bonus or does not.
2. Theoretical RTP up to 98%.
3. High volatility.
4. Maximum win — 2,000x the bet.
5. Special modifiers in the bonus round.

Design and atmosphere

Money Cart is executed in the recognizable style of the franchise Money Train: Wild West, dusty streets, bandits, and gold. The graphics are detailed, the animations are smooth, and the sound accompaniment enhances the tension during the bonus respins. The interface is minimalist — all attention is focused on the symbols and their interactions.

Payouts for combinations

In Money Cart, there are no standard symbols for payouts in the base game. All wins are formed exclusively in the bonus round through cash symbols and modifiers:

1. Cash symbols: from 1x to 10x the bet.
2. Golden cash symbols: from 20x to 200x the bet.
3. Modifiers (Payer, Collector, Sniper, etc.) do not pay directly, but enhance the winning potential.

Bonus functions and unique mechanics

Money Cart is fully centered around one key bonus:

• Bonus round «Money Cart Respins»: activates when 3 or more bonus symbols land on the initial 5x4 field.
• The player receives 3 respins, which refresh to 3 with each new symbol.
• Special modifiers may appear on the field:
  • Payer — adds its value to all cash symbols.
  • Collector — collects values of all cash symbols and adds them to itself.
  • Sniper — removes values from 3 to 8 random symbols.
  • Widener — expands the field, adding additional cells.
  • Persistent symbols remain on the field until the end of the round.

Frispins, wild symbols, scatters, and risk-game are absent in Money Cart.

Expert opinions and recommendations

Money Cart is a slot for experienced players, ready for long waits for big wins. Due to the absence of a base game, each bet is a lottery entry into the bonus.

Recommendations

• Use a session strategy with a limited bankroll (for example, 100–200 spins per session).
• Do not chase the bonus — it comes on average every 8–10 spins.
• Avoid aggressive increase of rates after a loss — high volatility can quickly deplete the budget.

Mathematical model

1. RTP: 98% — one of the highest indicators among modern slots.
2. Volatility: high (rating 4–5 out of 5).
3. Frequency of bonus drops: about 12.5% (for example, 1 time in 8 spins).
4. Chances for maximum win: extremely low, require ideal modifier stacking.

Compared to analogs

1. Money Train 2 (Relax Gaming) — classic version with a base game, RTP 96.4%, max. win 50,000x.
2. Money Cart 2 Bonus Reels (Relax Gaming) — improved version with the same RTP 98%, but with expanded modifiers and max. win of 5,000x.
3. Book of Dead (Play’n GO) — slot with free spins, RTP 96.21%, volatility high, but with traditional game structure.

Mobile version

Money Cart is fully adapted for mobile devices thanks to HTML5 technology. The game correctly displays on smartphones and tablets with iOS and Android, retaining all functions and graphics quality.

Pros and cons

Pros

1. RTP 98% — exceptionally profitable for the player.
2. Unique mechanics based on the base game.
3. Rich selection of modifiers in the bonus.
4. Excellent mobile optimization.

Cons

1. No base game — not suitable for fans of classic slots.
2. High volatility requires a larger bankroll.
3. Maximum win (2,000x) is modest compared to other games in the series.

Locking

Money Cart is a bold experiment by Relax Gaming that succeeded. It offers a pure, intensive bonus mechanic without 'dead spins' in the form of base spins. Suitable for players who value transparency and high RTP.

Overall rating: 8.5/10
