Review of the Joker Pro slot machine by NetEnt

Introduction

Joker Pro — this is a modern video slot from the legendary developer NetEnt, released in July 2016 (the official release took place on July 14). Despite the classic theme, the game offers high volatility and a generous RTP, making it appealing for both beginners and experienced players.

1. High volatility.
2. RTP — 96.8%.

Design and atmosphere

Joker Pro combines nostalgic retro style with modern graphic solutions. The font is rendered in deep black with golden accents, while the animations are smooth and high-quality. Bonus functions and unique mechanics

• Joker Pro does not offer free spins in the classic sense. Instead, it features the unique Joker Pro Respins function:
• Activated when at least one Scatter symbol (Joker) appears on reels 2, 3, or 4. Upon activation:
  • Reels 1 and 5 become fully wild.
  • Scatter-symbols turn into sticky Wilds and remain in place.
  • Barabans 2–4 stick without paying.
• If a new Scatter appears during the Respin, it also becomes a sticky Wild and triggers another Respin.
• The maximum win (1000x) is achieved with three Scatter-symbols in 'hot' positions (average cell on Barabans 2–4).
• Wild substitutes for all symbols except Scatter. There is no risk game or progressive jackpot.

Expert opinions and recommendations

Joker Pro is a slot for patient players. Due to the high volatility and low hit frequency (only 14.1%), the base game can be tight. However, the bonus Respins compensate for this, offering significant multipliers.

Recommendations

• Play with the minimum rate to generate a session and wait for the bonus.
• Do not expect frequent small wins — the goal of the game is to wait for Respins.
• Use demo mode to understand the mechanics before playing for real money.

Mathematical model

1. RTP: 96.8% — above the market average.
2. Volatility: high — large wins are rare, but possible.
3. Hit Frequency: 14.1% — one win approximately every 7 spins.

Compared to analogs

1. Starburst (NetEnt) — low volatility, RTP 96.1%, frequent small wins.
2. Dead or Alive II (NetEnt) — extremely high volatility, RTP 96.8%, potential win up to 111,111x.
3. Joker Pro occupies a middle position between these two: higher than Starburst in risk, but lower than DoA II in maximum win.

Mobile version

Joker Pro is fully adapted for mobile devices thanks to HTML5 technology. The game displays correctly on smartphones and tablets running iOS and Android, retaining all functions and graphics quality. The loading is instant — no application installation is required.

Locking

Joker Pro is a shining example of how NetEnt redefines classics. The slot offers a balance between nostalgia and innovation, and its bonus feature can bring significant wins. Despite the high risk, the mathematical model is fair, and the payouts are at a reasonable level.
