Review of the gaming machine Africa Gold 2 from Belatra Games: adventures in the heart of the savanna

Introduction

Africa Gold 2 is an exciting video slot from Belatra Games studio, released in March 2021. This is an updated and improved version of the popular original Africa Gold, offering players a more saturated gameplay and modern bonus mechanics. The slot is set in an African theme: jungles, safaris, wild animals, and golden artifacts create an atmosphere of real adventure.

Key features of Africa Gold 2

1. High volatility and RTP 91.97%.
2. 5 reels, 3 rows, 10 fixed paylines.
3. Unique Craft Bonus with customization options.
4. Wild symbol (leopard), increasing winnings.
5. Free spins with a multiplier of ×3.
6. Two versions of the risk game.
7. Compatibility with mobile devices.

Design and atmosphere

Africa Gold 2 impresses with its bright and detailed graphics in the style of an African safari. The background is filled with a tropical landscape featuring mountains and waterfalls, while the symbols include wild animals (leopard, elephant, rhinoceros), explorers, and artifacts. The animations are smooth, and the sound accompaniment is authentic: the sounds of drums, singing birds, and the rustling of bushes immerse the player in the atmosphere of wild Africa. The overall visual style is modern, but it retains the spirit of the original game.

• Craft Bonus: a unique feature of Belatra, allowing to purchase bonus rounds and adjust their parameters — the number of free spins and multiplier. For example, you can choose 30 spins with a x10 multiplier (cost — 1592× the bet).
• Risk-game: after any win, two versions of the gamble function become available — classic (guess the color of the card) and 'Fortune's Wheel' with a jackpot prize.
• Jackpot 'Fortune's Wheel': activates randomly during the main game, offering instant prizes.

Expert opinions and recommendations

Africa Gold 2 is a slot for players who appreciate a strategic approach and are ready for long sessions in anticipation of big wins.

Recommended

• Use moderate bets (1–3% of bankroll).
• Activate Craft Bonus only with a sufficient budget — it increases the frequency of bonus rounds.
• Avoid permanent use of risk-game, especially with big wins — chances of losing are high.
• Play in demo mode before switching to real money to study the frequency of bonus drops.

Mathematical model

• The slot has a high volatility, which means rare, but potentially large payouts.
• RTP 91.97% is below the industry average (the standard is 95-96%), which reduces long-term payout. However, the maximum win of x10,000 compensates for this shortcoming for risk-loving players.

Mobile version

Africa Gold 2 is optimized for mobile devices on iOS and Android. The game displays correctly on screens of any size, intuitive controls are easy to understand, and performance remains stable even on older smartphones.

Pros and cons

Pros

1. Unique Craft Bonus with customization.
2. High maximum win (x10,000).
3. Two types of risk-games.
4. Excellent mobile adaptation.
5. Bright thematic design.

Cons

1. Low RTP (91.97%).
2. High volatility — not suitable for conservative players.
3. A total of 10 fixed lines — few by modern standards.

Locking

Africa Gold 2 is a quality slot for fans of African themes and players striving for big wins. Despite the low RTP, unique mechanics, especially Craft Bonus, make it stand out among competitors. The game is well-suited for those who are ready to take risks and value innovative bonuses.

Overall rating: 8/10
